Director - Research Design and Management - Millward Brown - Southfield


Job description
The Director of RDM will execute higher complexity projects including custom and strategic projects according to research design requirements in order to meet clients’ needs. This includes questionnaire design, data collection and review, coordinating deliverables, managing the project’s scope, timeline and budget, and ensuring consultative client communications. The Director of RDM will also be responsible for leading a mid-size team through full scale project execution on a full range of complexity levels. In addition, the Director of RDM will also lead operational and efficiency best practices for strategic accounts as well as develop and lead strategic initiatives.
Research Design and Management (RDM) – Provides research design consultation and true end-to-end project management services – they are consultative and work closely with Client Management and our external clients to deliver the highest quality research design and ensure projects are executed as designed, are on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers by establishing and maintaining effective relationships.
Manages full Project Timeline, including key project milestones like questionnaire deadlines, project launch and reporting deliverables.

Creates accurate and high quality study design against data collection, data reporting specifications & methodology.
Manages, consults, and communicates solutions to client and client service teams as appropriate throughout the life of project.
Effectively evaluates team member's skills and delegates level appropriate tasks and responsibilities.
Provides current, direct, complete, and “actionable” positive and corrective feedback to others

Desired Skills and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in marketing or related area with Minimum of 7 years of marketing research, research design or project management experience.
Demonstrated experience in strategic thinking in Research Design capacity with multiple strategic or complex accounts or clients.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication capabilities.
Demonstrated experience and abilities in mentoring, coaching and leading a team of direct reports.
Ability to maintain efficient time management while prioritizing and delivering against multiple deadlines.
