Director - Consumer Web Analytics - Move - San Jose


Job description
Move, Inc. currently has an opportunity for a Director of Consumer Analytics reporting to the Vice President of Finance & Analytics, located in our San Jose, California office.
Thru its Consumer Advertising business lines, Move is strategically focused on growing, engaging and monetizing its consumer audiences on realtor.com and other consumer-facing websites and mobile applications. We are seeking an individual who will help drive consumer internet analytics for our consumer audience acquisition, engagement and digital monetization strategies in partnership with our key business stakeholders. The Director will play a key role in establishing the strategies, frameworks and methodologies for consumer analytics, and will direct the execution of all related analyses. The Director will also develop standard weekly and monthly reporting, performance management dashboards and models, and conduct ad-hoc analysis of key opportunities for our business partners within the Consumer Advertising business lines. Finally, the Director will lead a team of highly functioning and skilled business analysts to fulfill the goals and objectives of the position.

Candidates must possess a strong analytic foundation within a consumer internet environment, a well-established history of collaborating with cross-functional teams, as well as a proven track record of communicating data-based insights to a wide variety of audiences thru clear and thoughtful analysis, reporting and presentation.

Responsibilities

Performance Management
Partner with cross-functional business teams – including Marketing, Product Management, Development, SEO and Operations – to identify key consumer audience measurements / metrics and business levers
Drive the Consumer Audience modeling and forecasting for purposes of expectation and goal setting
Manage weekly and monthly processes for monitoring and reporting of Consumer Audience metric performance
Analyze, measure, monitor, and prepare quantitative and qualitative reports on internal, external and competitive business performance
Business Analysis
Support business teams with analytics, and business modeling & forecasting thru the entire Consumer Audience funnel
Connect cause and effect from business initiatives to quantifiable results, such as quantifying the impact of a product release on audience funnel and ultimately the impact on business results
Understand the consumer audience behavior on web and mobile platforms in order to inform business decisions and go to market strategies
Acquisition, channel attribution, ROI and related analyses
Engagement metrics, click stream behavior, retention, repeat visitation
Conversion metrics and connection to advertising products and monetization

Desired Skills and Experience
Experience and Skills
Educational Requirements: Undergraduate degree with focus in Business, Economics, Finance, Management Information Systems or related field. MBA preferred.
Minimum 8 - 10 years hands-on experience in consumer internet / web analytics. +5 years in leadership capacity.
Solid understanding of web analytics methods and frameworks, tracking, and business information systems (Web Analytics software, Google Analytics, Omniture, comScore, etc.)
Solid working knowledge of software applications for data analysis and presentation (i.e. MS Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and SQL, etc.)
Experience developing Consumer Audience dashboards for daily/weekly/monthly tracking, as well as translating from quantitative data to an informed story told through infographics (charts, trends, slides, etc.)
Ability to interact and communicate with individuals in various functional areas and various levels of management.
Ability to remain flexible and thrive in a fast-paced environment and new business processes and concepts.
