Director - Communications - PepsiCo - New York


Job description
Reporting to the Vice President, Global Internal Communications, the role of Internal Communications Business Partner is critical in defining, creating, driving and executing high impact employee communications programs and activities across
the organization.
Working alongside colleagues from across Corporate Communications and other business functions, this executive will be responsible for managing and executing global internal communications programs that communicate critical news and information to the workforce, while constantly driving the sustainable engagement of our employees.
This position has one direct report.

This position will:
Serve as strategic internal communications counsel that helps designated internal, global business sectors and functions (such as PepsiCo AMEA, Global R&D, Human Resources, Marketing, Health & Safety, etc.) successfully deliver on their global business objectives.
Build and leverage strong relationships with key business and functional leaders at the executive level, including opinion leaders, change agents and other internal stakeholders to ensure the ongoing relevance and value of our internal communication programs.

Demonstrate a deep understanding of the PepsiCo employee base and advocate for them with internal clients through the development of appropriate internal communication strategies, plans and associated collateral.
Lead global content creation for internal audiences. Develop the strategy, define and manage execution
of a program of high-quality, inspiring and well-thought-out internal communication campaigns that reinforce key messages across PepsiCo's global business and help to create an informed and engaged workforce.
T actics to include in-person events, webcast, video and digital communications, communications tool kits and coaching modules, and messaging documents.
Directly supervise one content creation specialist (senior manager) and develop and manage a world-class, highly creative network of external vendors, consultants and service providers who will develop dynamic and compelling employee news and information.
Responsible for budget to fund external freelance writers and in-person employee events.
Work in close connection with PepsiCo corporate digital team to measure both reach and effectiveness of content campaigns and individual stories, videos, infographics, etc. and insure those learnings are fed back
into the content creation process.
Collaborate with PepsiCo Media Bureau and Corporate Engagement group to provide internal communications counsel and advice, and to amplify external stories and sponsorships with internal coverage as appropriate.

Qualifications:

More than 12 years of experience in Corporate Communications environment, with at least two years delivering employee communications.
Progressively more senior experience working in a large, matrixed corporate environment and at least five years' experience of working collaboratively within cross-functional global teams.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven track record of developing and delivering multi-channel communications.
Keen understanding of current news landscape and the latest social media channels (external to PepsiCo) in order to bring tis understanding to how we deliver news to our employees
Executive presence, with proven track record of working with all levels of employees, from frontline to C-suite
Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and organizational skills and the ability to thrive and lead in a high speed, "non-traditional,"entrepreneurial environment.
Must be able to meet short deadlines, set and work within project budgets, and maintain high levels of quality.
