Job description
Reporting to the Chief People Officer at EA, the Vice President of Global Compensation, Benefits and Mobility will work closely with the EA Executive Team to develop executive compensation and benefit programs, gaining management support and preparing executive compensation proposals for Compensation Committee and Board approval.
The successful candidate will have a strong track record of exceptional human resources partnerships for at least 15+ years’. He/she will be an exceptional leader and have a drive for operational excellence.
The successful candidate will have experience leading a Compensation and Benefits function and will have demonstrated success leading, coaching, motivating and developing a team of experienced professionals.
This role is ideal for an individual accustomed to working in a rapidly-changing, high growth environment with strengths in providing leadership engendering drive and team cooperation, while being fully capable of making tough decisions and acting on them as appropriate. The ability to articulate clear and meaningful goals, and focus people’s efforts to deliver results is a must.
Direct experience working in the high technology software or entertainment industry is desirable.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare materials for the compensation committee of the board of directors and provide counsel to the Chief People Officer and CEO on executive compensation issues and strategy.
Working with other HR leaders on the team develops an effective total rewards philosophy and strategy for EA.
Will plan, develop and implement new and revised global compensation and benefit programs in line with the total rewards philosophy.
Provides expert counsel in the development of annual variable incentive compensation and other applicable incentive plans, oversight of applicable benefit plans/plan design & changes and effective salary management.
Work with other HR leaders to design and coordinate effective and clear communications of all the compensation and benefits plans.
Design the company's equity-based compensation strategy and practices.
Harmonize and integrate employee benefits and compensation plans related to acquisitions.
Responsible for compliance to legislation in regards to world-wide retirement benefits plans.
Work with vendors and consultants for good governance of plans.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Comprehensive experience in a public company in a similar role.
Global experience, multiple countries, regions
Large, public company exposure, comfortable and experienced with complexity.
Executive Compensation / Compensation Committee experience.
Significant compensation and benefits plan technical experience, as well as tax and regulatory knowledge in varied countries.
Knowledgeable on legislation impacting pay programs. Maintains awareness of economic and pay practice trends within industry.
Solid foundation in compensation theories and practices. Knowledge in SOX and regulatory compliance.
Business Acumen - Knowledgeable about external business trends and are able to translate them into internal decisions and actions. They understand general business conditions (e.g., social, technological, economic, political, environmental and demographic trends) that affect their industry and geography.
Strategic and Analytical Capability - Ability to think globally, strategically, and objectively. Effectively translates data into actionable insights, strategies and financial plans.
Demonstrate EA Leadership Competencies - All Managers, Directors, and Executives have leadership responsibility at EA and should actively and effectively demonstrate the Leadership Competencies: Be Human First, Aim and Inspire, Play as One, Get it Done, and Listen and Improve.

Education/Professional Accreditations:
B.A., MBA, or B.S. from an accredited institution, preferably in Business or Economics.
