The Team
The Data Strategy & Governance team is part of the HBS Business intelligence organization. It delivers enterprise wide Information Management, architecture, policy and governance to customers, partners and employees. The position runs the operations of the most important data measure at Cisco: the information about the customer. If you want to ensure top customer data, this is your opportunity.

Role & Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will be an Operations Manager who combines detail-driven insight into business process improvement opportunities with a practical “get it done” work style. The candidate should have a good feeling for customer data, company structures in all parts of the world, and have a passion for finding ways to improve operations in a dynamic environment.
The candidate will have to work with several external suppliers, ensuring top service to internal and external customers. The ideal candidate will also have strong technical aptitude, customer empathy, leadership skills, and passion to make an industry-wide impact.
● Drive for top customer data quality across the company, as per the need of the business processes
● Work closely with data stewards and information architects
● Partner and align resources from other organizations
● Manage external suppliers to achieve agreed SLA results
● Communicate metrics, status updates, issues and risks

Minimum Qualifications
● Experience working in a global shared service environment
● Technical aptitude including familiarity or direct domain expertise with customer data
● Bachelor of Science in Information Management, business discipline, computer science or related discipline, Masters degree is a plus
● Ability and resolve to address customer/client business needs quickly, Ability to manage multiple engagements with various teams Excellent intellectual, interpersonal, communication and analytical skills
● Ability to tie activities to the broader goals while focusing on customer needs
● A demonstrated skill managing projects and articulating requirements

Desired Skills
● Exposure to the field operations, large-scale online services, managed services or information technology operations in the technology industry is helpful.
● Ideally, extensive experience (5+ years) working in Cisco on cross-functional programs and initiatives, ideally with Sales, Marketing, Customer Services and Cisco services
● Proven ability to work on customer data with multiple cultural backgrounds and geographical differences
● Mastery of at least one major language besides English is a plus
● A good team player ambitious and eager to excel and grow while maintaining high ethical standards and respect for his/her colleagues
