Director - User Acquisition - Washio - Los Angeles


Job description
Washio’s Director of Paid User Acquisition will lead new customer acquisition efforts. The position will include both strategy and execution.
Leveraging a substantial budget, you will drive both scale and efficiency, managing campaigns across multiple channel partners. You will also test new channels in search of innovative ways to reach potential customers.

Responsibilities
Manage marketing budgets across mobile and web
Define launch and post launch user acquisition plans that achieve Washio's growth plan

Ensure team is tracking effectiveness of advertising campaigns and implement continuous improvements and optimization.
Source, evaluate, and test new user acquisition channels.
Identify, negotiate and close media buys with ad partners.
Scope and run landing page tests
Build and maintain strategic relationships with key acquisition partners such as Nanigans, Groupon, DSPs, Pandora, Facebook and Google
Drive A/B testing programs for new ad products and channels to maximize acquisition efforts and return.
Partner with product team to identify product features that improve effective customer acquisition and retention.
Conduct analysis with analytics team to validate the accuracy of the LTV model behind paid campaign users.
Cultivate mobile expertise within the UA team: identify insights into app store algorithms, research new platforms and networks, track competitors.

Desired Skills and Experience
Minimum Qualifications
5 or more years of online acquisition experience with 2+ years of management experience
2+ years of experience with mobile user acquisition
2+ years of experience buying over 100K per month in advertising
2+ years of experience buying advertising with CPA and LTV goals
Strong understanding of advertising units at Facebook, Google and other scalable mobile ad channels
Strong business acumen and the ability to synthesize and analyze data to identify trends and marketing opportunities.
Ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities and meet deadlines.
Outstanding creativity and drive; excellent written and oral communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well independently or within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience optimizing product for growth
Experience working later in the customer life cycle (activation, retention and referral)
Knowledge of SQL, Javascript, HTML and CSS
