We are currently going through a fundamental transformation from a shrink-wrapped payroll services company to one of the leading providers of applications and solutions. We have a rich history over 30 years strong.

EP Technology, the technology arm of EP, is looking for an experienced Director to provide strategic and tactical leadership for our accounting/non-accounting platforms. These systems are critical for the processing of accounting transactions and related service functions (e.g. general ledger, account payables, time management solutions.). If you are passionate about building world-class platforms and products to delight customers, this is the opportunity for you! In this role, your responsibilities will include the following:

Manage several Managers / teams of developers who own key services, and workflow engines at the heart of some of our top accounting and non-accounting solutions
Ensure that services are available (24x7), scalable, and extensible in support of our business partnerships / growth.

Coordinate the establishment and execution of architectural roadmap for a very complex, diverse, and scalable area.
Think End-to-End by connecting all the pieces of the business (development, product management, QA, operations, etc.) to deliver the features to delight the customer while leveraging all available assets.
Evangelize product and process innovation at all levels of the organization
Apply the business strategy to application areas, while participating in the definition and implementation of technology strategies
Manage communications with internal leadership
Create shared vision through strong analytical, communication and influencing skills

QUALIFICATIONS:
A proven technical leader capable of commanding the respect of other Engineering Managers, Software Engineers, Architects, QA and Operations,
Execution oriented and hands on with strong customer mindset
Strong experience managing high-scale real-time transaction processing systems
Lead diverse development teams across several different geographical environments
Demonstrated excellence in SDLC processes, agile development methodologies and post-production processes and utilizing metrics to measure, evaluate and improve.
Possesses complex project management skills and the ability to effectively manage high-performing teams by being a charismatic motivator and thought leader in the engineering organization.
Demonstrated track record of broad change management successes, including process improvements resulting in organizational efficiencies
Demonstrated strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Demonstrated understanding of SaaS technologies, SDLC and software engineering standards.
Experience in end-to-end development life-cycle and post-launch Production support.
Experience with iterative software development life-cycle methodologies and frameworks such as Agile, SCRUM, Test Driven Development, etc.
Experience with Unix, Linux, Oracle, JBoss, Apache technologies, Agile, SCRUM experience preferred.
Experience in successful negotiations with business stakeholders and execution partners
Experience with accounting platform a plus
Ability to attract, build and retain a highly engaged and capable development team that can support our technical and business strategies
Strong verbal and written communication skills to both technical and non-technical audience
8+ year’s experience in development of software solutions in complex environments, with a successful track record in bringing new offerings to market
B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent; M.S. C.S. preferred
