Role
You will be on the ground floor, joining a growing team (including many former entrepreneurs) in a well-funded “startup” at the intersection of consumer, big data and health; a team that cares passionately about using technology to improve the wellness of everyone.

As Product Marketing Director for Samsung’s newly formed Digital Health business unit, you will lead our Product Marketing efforts in helping the entire organization develop and sell products that will improve consumers’ health. These efforts include

Ensuring that new products are developed and brought to market with a well-articulated value proposition to our buyers and users that is clearly differentiated from our competitors.
Supporting our product and thought leadership in the market.
Working across the organization, including Development, Engineering, Business Development/Sales, and Operations to ensure the entire company is aligned and can articulate how our product portfolio creates value for our buyers and users.


The team you will be joining is small and nimble, and every team member wears many hats. A successful candidate will be comfortable developing a marketing plan; happy to polish the wording in an individual presentation; technically savvy enough to explain our technology to a non-technical user; confident enough to represent us at a large conference. As a team, we are all willing to pitch in on whatever tasks necessary to support and promote our business.

Your Responsibilities
Clearly define and articulate the target-buying persona: their needs, pains, challenges, goals and buying process.
Collaborate with product team to research, evaluate, name and drive the launch of new features, products and services.
Create and manage the market requirements statement that will drive product development and product strategy.
Define key users, buyers and influencers and develop compelling messaging appropriate for each.
Define marketing plan for our product(s) and run product launches, directing the creation of an array of competing marketing materials.
Lead the creation of effective product positioning by regularly assessing competitive offerings and clearly defining our relevant differentiated value.
Evangelize our solutions and products externally through effective marketing content, thought leadership, and events.
Evolve the framework for Product Marketing at Samsung’s newly formed Digital Health business unit, ensuring that new products are clearly aligned with market needs and strategic vision.
Help set, track, and drive the key marketing and business metrics for our products.

Desired Skills and Experience
Requirements
BS/BA, Technical (Science, Technical, Engineering, Math); MBA a plus
7+ years Product Marketing or Product Management experience with 3+ years leadership experience. Consumer medical device or Healthcare experience a plus
Proven track record of developing compelling product value propositions
Excellent story teller with the ability to translate sophisticated and complex technical features into clear, compelling, and memorable stories of end customer value by audience.
Demonstrated analytical skills and ability to develop go-to-market strategy, business plans, KPIs, customer segmentation and market insights.
Accomplished people leader, adept at building a product marketing team, nurturing the careers of its members and developing strong cross-organization relationships.
World-class oral, written and visual communicator.
