Janrain’s Director, Product Management is responsible for defining and executing product strategy for the company’s suite of products. The Director, Product Management will incorporate innovative technologies and approaches into building solutions that drive real and measurable business value. Exceptional project management, communication, and leadership skills are imperative for success in this role. This role must demonstrate the ability to live inside the mind of the customer. Additionally, this role will require in-depth technical knowledge and the ability to effectively work with customers and internal technical teams to identify market opportunities, develop product roadmaps and implementation plans, and then ensure the timely delivery of a high-quality, world class, and market-leading suite of products.

Responsibilities:
Create product roadmaps and strategies that enable Janrain to deliver complete products that align with market needs and trends.
Measure and analyze product metrics, customer needs, and business opportunities to shape Janrain’s products’ feature sets and improve user experience.
Develop, coach and manage a team of product managers in creating and maintaining product roadmaps and product use cases and user personas that incorporate customer and business partner feedback and that support the company’s strategic initiatives.
Work with various teams in the organization, particularly engineering, to ensure appropriate project requirements are met.
Contribute to overall product positioning through the creation of presentations, prototypes, and demonstrations to facilitate communication across all teams and with customers, evangelizing a product and driving consensus around supporting feature sets.
Coordinate rapid, smooth, and successful product launches in close collaboration with engineering, marketing, user experience and business stakeholders.
Prioritize and allocate product development investments based on a market-driven view of current and long-term growth opportunities.
Assist in product development process by translating customer feedback, user testing and customer support feedback into feature/function requirements and specifications.
Conduct roadmap presentations to customers with a view to soliciting customer input into future feature development.
Identify and cultivate customer champions for various capabilities that advance the product roadmap.

Desired Skills and Experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
Requires Bachelor’s degree, preferably Business and/or Computer Science and 7-10 years of experience in enterprise application products. Experience within a SaaS environment highly preferred.
A passion for developing great people and ability to lead strong teams to ambitious goals. Minimum 4-5 years People management experience is required.
Deep understanding of Janrain’s customers, including both buyers, and users
Proven track record in building and launching market-leading offerings.
Deep understanding of the requirements associated with building highly available and scalable enterprise products.
Proven ability to collaborate broadly with flexible, positive attitude and ability to achieve results.
Strong technical background in software development and Internet technologies.
Must be extremely customer focused, with excellent communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to identify and communicate areas of opportunity to develop new products, enhance current products, or complement existing third party products to deliver unique value to the market.
Experience at start up companies, digital agencies, high-growth companies and working knowledge of social media is a plus.
