Director - Market Development - Intacct Corporation - San Jose
Job description
The Director, Market Development will be a leader and champion for Intacct in strategically important business segments, including Software, Professional Services, and NonProfit. He or she will lead and manage not only the go-to-market strategy, but also the tactical execution to further penetrate key target segments working with customers and prospects and through collaboration and coordination with departments within Intacct, including Sales, Business Development, Product Marketing, and Corporate Marketing.
This is a senior position that involves entrepreneurial leadership, analytical thinking, and creative instinct. Success in this role will require deep segment knowledge, an understanding of Intacct’s differentiation, and strong sales and marketing skills.
Job Responsibilities:
Lead cross-company go-to-market strategy and business plan for a vertical market segment
Execute market segment strategies and plan by supporting the sales team in delivering on license revenue targets
Engage in consultative sales support with select customers and prospects, devoting time in the field with prospects, customers and partners.
Assist Product Management and Product Marketing in defining key solutions and positioning of Intacct within each segment
Collaborate with Product Marketing to create unique sector specific messaging and a suite of sales enablement materials (i.e. white papers, marketing guides, solution focused demos)
Drive sector specific messages that differentiate Intacct from our competitors and are compelling to prospects and customers
Provide segment specific insights and support Corporate Marketing in building marketing campaigns to develop each market segment
Coordinate with Business Development in defining and developing the Partner Ecosystem to support each market segment
Build brand awareness and recognition through specific Analyst and Media engagement
Build and manage a team of Market Development Managers
Desired Skills and Experience
BA/BS in marketing, business or related fields; MBA is highly desired
9+ years of related product or solutions sales or marketing experience
Experience influencing and communicating product offers to customers, prospects, sales people, industry analysts and trade press
Expertise and a proven track record successfully marketing accounting/financial business applications is a highly desired; Cloud computing experience is highly desirable
Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
Proven track record partnering with cross-functional teams and leading successful product launches
Strategic thinker, creative problem solver and strong analytical skills
Evangelist and industry thought leader
Ability to think strategically and execute tactically
Experience building and developing a team.
