Director - Global Supplier Development - Motor Coach Industries - Des Plaines

Job description
As a seasoned manufacturing professional, you will be responsible for leading a team of Supplier Development Engineers focused on developing processes, policies, procedures and strategies to achieve world class supplier performance metrics. You will be responsible for overseeing new supplier development in support of MCI's Reliability Driven brand growth and market leadership postiion. In support of the MCI PDP, you will focus on improving supplier performance in the pursuit of zero quality defects and flawless product launches of coaches and major projects.


Desired Skills and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (even better if you have a Master's)
15 years in Suplier Development or a related discipline in the automotive or commercial industry
Minimum of 5 years managerial experience
Certification in Quality Management is desirable - ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certifice Quality Auditor (CQA), Certified Reliavility Engineer (CRE)
Six Sigma Green/Black Belt a plus!
Strong manufacturing, process, quality systems and root cause analysis/countermeasure experience required.
Knowledge and application of AIAG quality toolds (PPAP, RMEA, SPC, MSA, etc).
Solid interpersonal communication skills needed to communicate to all levels of MCI and Supplier organisations.
