Director - Financial Audit - Google - Mountain View

Job description
The Internal Audit team's mission is to call attention to risks and drive actions to address those risks to protect Google and Googlers. The team partners with business and engineering groups to identify areas of risk, make valuable recommendations on controls, and influence changes and decisions. As a member of the team, you’ll have the opportunity to advise on system implementations, product launches and other business initiatives. Responsibilities
Manage team of auditors in assessing the appropriateness of controls over financial reporting and operational risks worldwide, particularly in the fixed assets, inventory, P2P, FP&A and M&A processes.
Manage work requirements and budget to meet team initiatives. Communicate with and educate process owners, including non-finance individuals, on the importance of controls, an effective control environment and the role of the audit team.

Manage vendor/3rd party audits, which include contractual compliance, vendor governance assessment, operational process review, and evaluation of IT, access, security, regulatory, reputation and other risks.
Perform risk assessments, prioritize initiatives and determine resource needs.
Review audit procedures, results, recommendations and provide guidance.

Minimum qualifications
BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
Experience managing the audit function in professional services/consulting or within a related industry.

Ability to navigate through ambiguity, manage and coordinate multiple project assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, accepting ownership and accountability of the process and delivering on commitments.
Leadership skills (ability to take charge, confidence to interact with all levels, set objectives, drive results and a team player).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a wide variety of departments.
