Director - Finance - Arrow Electronics - Englewood
Job description
The Director of Finance will support our Web Strategy organization, primarily providing direction to managers and staff in making decisions from an operational, financial, and strategic perspective. This leader will ensure attainment of key objectives while maintaining a close relationship with Senior Finance Leaders at Arrow.
Key Responsibilities include:
Provide timely and accurate SaaS business financial insight and advice to senior leaders within Arrow’s Web Strategy group
Evaluate prospective business opportunities and ensure acceptable returns are achieved
Assist in the development of business strategies related to our Web Strategy organization
Develop and monitor specific measures that evaluate progress toward, and ensure achievement of performance commitments
Develop and execute the annual planning process
Develop and monitor forecasts
Assume lead role in education/training concerning key drivers of financial performance
Ensure achievement of annual operating plan
Ensure control and improve all areas of asset management, with specific emphasis on inventory and accounts receivable management, as well as keeping current with all balance sheet account reconciliations.
Provide analysis/insight as required to management
Lead, develop, and coach members of the SaaS Finance team
Deliver results through a team, using strong business judgment/strategy and driving continuous improvement.
Desired Skills and Experience
Required Competencies and Personal Attributes:
7+ years of solid functional financial management operational leadership experience
Ability to effectively prioritize team workload and projects
Comfortable/effective working with diverse group of people (group and corporate management, salespeople, applications engineers, etc.) to achieve common objectives
Take charge leader who can be effective without daily direction (self directed)
Highest standards of ethics and integrity
Resourceful/innovative/creative - looks for better ways to do things
Advanced PC Skills (including Excel and Access) and financial system literacy
Being able to not only drive projects from high level, but also able to roll up sleeves jump in to get things done
Demonstrated team player and team builder
Required Qualifications include:
5+ years of people management experience
Experience in mergers and acquisitions
Preferred qualifications include:
4 year degree in Accounting or Finance
CPA and/or MBA degree
Hands-on experience in a Software as a Services business
International Market experience a plus
