Director - Digital Research - NBC Sports Group - NBCUniversal - Stamford


Job description
Responsibilities
The position will support NBC Sports Group Digital Media Research efforts, including Olympics and Regional Sports Networks
This position will serve as the digital research team leader, reporting to SVP, Research, and will manage a team of two analysts
Provide analysis and reporting on NBC Digital performance, including data & analysis on traffic to NBC Sports Digital platforms (site, mobile, apps, video, social media). Sources include Adobe Analytics, Nielsen online, comScore, etc.
Provide detailed delivery estimates, using ad server and Adobe data, for all platforms on a regular basis
Conduct Primary research related to usability of digital offering and cross platform consumption
Support NBC Sports Group Research team in fulfilling research requests from digital, programming, corporate communications, strategic marketing, and business development
Identify tagging issues, spec out custom metrics requirements and communicate with site developers to ensure accurate measurement


Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Statistics, Communications, or related field
Minimum five (5) years of web analytics experience
Knowledge of media landscape (including NBCU position) and of online, mobile and tablet
Overall knowledge of Digital Media industry a must, including online, mobile, tablets and other emerging technologies
Proficiency with Adobe Analytics (Omniture) or similar web analytics tool, including tagging structure, implementation and data analysis
Expertise in Nielsen Online and comScore data (all products)
Excellent computer skills, including PowerPoint and Excel

Experience at a company that analyzes both online and TV data preferred
Experience in "TV Everywhere" and traditional television measurement, a plus
Analysis of Nielsen ratings, a plus
Provide insightful analysis and POV with perspective
Very strong communication and presentation skills
Needs to be able to work with diverse group of people
