Director - Digital Distribution - Paramount Pictures - Los Angeles
Job description
This Los Angeles-based position is responsible for supporting business development, revenue-generating activities, and customer management in the digital distribution space in the Latin America region. This position will work closely with the head and regional offices of Paramount Home Media Distribution and other Paramount divisions and departments. This role supports both short and longer-term financial and strategic goals of the division, and reports to the Vice President, Digital Distribution, Asia Pacific and Latin America (based in Los Angeles).
Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:
Works on matters related to digital distribution licensees across varied technology platforms and networks for transactional video-on-demand, pay-per-view, electronic sell through, device preloads, and other current and emerging digital transactional media
Develops and maintains strong relationships with digital distribution licensees and serves as nexus of activity and communications, requiring strong account-management skills
In coordination with LA-based and in-territory marketing and other teams, helps facilitate marketing, merchandising and promotional efforts aimed at maximizing revenue, timed with key digital launches, theatrical drafting opportunities, seasonal/holiday-based campaigns, bundling/voucher initiatives, etc.
Creates product strategies for new distribution platforms
Compiles and tracks performance data of existing digital service launches, and develops ROI analysis for similar new opportunities and programs
Develops, maintains and updates sales materials for external customers and internal constituents
Delivers departmental progress reports that cover all areas of digital distribution activity
Supports business development efforts in Latin America and Paramount's overall innovation internationally by researching and gathering information on developments in the online video market, social media, and related fields in the region
Other duties and responsibilities as may be required
Desired Skills and Experience
Requirements:
*Five plus years of digital content licensing or related experience involving Latin America.
*Team oriented individual with strong ability to bring multiple and varied agendas together, both inside and outside the company, to achieve goals.
*Demonstrated project management and presentation skills required.
*Business travel to the region, as required.
*Strong knowledge of key online/digital, cable, telecom, and satellite players in Latin America region.
*Knowledge of and strong interest in digital market trends and developments.
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
*Business-level fluency in Spanish required. Fluency in Portuguese a plus.
*Self starter, with ability to work in fast moving, entrepreneurial environment.
*Proficient in Microsoft Office with emphasis on Powerpoint and Excel.
*MBA preferred.
