Job description
Responsibilities
The Business Development Director will help shape and execute our strategy around ad tech, publisher, social media, and mobile partnerships – focused on covering the west coast. The Business Development Director will identify, develop, and maintain partnerships throughout the digital ad ecosystem and direct advertisers to help take their digital audience targeting and measurement programs to a new level.
The Business Development Director will educate partners and advertisers about Cardlytics’ solutions.
Identify and prospect new partners and opportunities as well as respond to incoming inquiries.
Take partnerships from the exploration and discussion phase to the execution phase, working cross-functionally with many teams internally (such as legal, operations, analytic, partnership management, etc.) as well as externally.
Manage opportunities through from inception through to close.
Work cross-functionally to make sure the appropriate stakeholders are included, and the appropriate leaders are aware of what you are undertaking.

Manage and grow established digital agency relationships
Working with the Sales team, develop and manage agency revenue plan
The ideal candidate must have the ability to juggle multiple engagements simultaneously while keeping a broader group internally informed of progress. The ideal candidate thrives on change and will run with new challenges.

Desired Skills and Experience
Minimum 5 years of business development experience
Extensive knowledge of the Internet and online advertising, including using data for targeting and measurement strong understanding of data-driven targeting practices of the online marketing industry.
Well versed in developing strategic proposals for digital marketing programs
Comprehensive understanding of the digital landscape including the display data, measurement and media eco-system.
Proven track record of presenting digital program strategies to senior-level marketers at top retail brands.
Excellent customer/partner management and problem solving skills.
Extensive understanding of digital trends and best practices and ability to apply that knowledge to specific customer goals/objectives
Proven track record of developing strategic business relationships, structuring creative and successful
Excellent proven organizational, time-management and multi-tasking skills
Ability to travel up to 30%
BA/BS degree required. MBA preferred.
