Business Development Director - Kenwood Experiences - San Francisco

Reports to: VP Client Services
Kenwood has been building business for our global clients through multi-channel activations for 30+ years. The recent re-launch of our brand reflects our ability to drive branded experiences through stronger strategic, creative and account resources. To help us grow and shape the future of our agency, we are recruiting for a Director of Business Development with a passion for and expertise in experiential brand marketing.

You should be able to bring prospects to the agency by leveraging your existing contacts, building on ours, and prospecting new ones based on your strong sales skills. You will work closely with other key members of the agency.
Your primary focus will be B2B companies that understand the value of bringing strategic, creative and business expertise to event, video and digital based experiences and campaigns.

This is a full-time position in San Francisco with a great compensation and incentive plan plus benefits.

Desired Skills and Experience
JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Leverage existing contacts with key decision makers to set up meetings and ultimately close new deals
Build on agency’s existing contacts to establish interest, set up meetings and close deals
Prospect new opportunities through cold calling, consultative selling, and lead generation and set up meetings to introduce the agency
Develop relationships with key decision makers to build trust and facilitate agreement to begin work
Understand the business and marketing challenges of key prospects
Build and effectively manage the target prospect list of individuals/companies
Nurture prospects through the pipeline and ultimately transition clients to the account management team
Work in partnership with all agency teams
Develop and lead proposals for client engagements
Record and forecast revenue in a timely and accurate way; report the prospect/client status to Senior Management team on a regular basis.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experienced sales professional with a network of connections that can lead to new business
Proven ability to prospect and generate leads through cold and warm calling
Proven ability to bring deals to the table and close business
Excellent communicator with especially strong verbal and writing skills and experience presenting proposals to senior management
Confident and organized individual who is able to leverage his/her experience in order to turn prospects into clients
Ability to work in team environment, yet also self-motivated, resilient, and energetic with an exceptional work ethic
Thorough knowledge of brand experience marketing, including live and virtual events, videos and digital channels
Experience in high-tech and video gaming markets a plus
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
B.S. or B.A. is preferred. MBA is a plus.
