Responsibilities, Education, Experience and Skills:
● Lead our growing team of software engineers and DevOps.
● Demonstrated ability to collaborate with C-level Executives, Project Management, Sales, Operations, and Customers to deliver innovative solutions.
● Experience managing teams of engineers and DevOps employees with responsibilities for hiring, mentoring, and developing team members.

● Excellent verbal and written communications skills required in both English and Spanish.
● Demonstrated ability to transform engineering teams and products.
● Hands-on experience as a senior software developer.
● Willingness to commit and deliver.
● Excellent verbal and communication skills.
● On-time, on-quality, and on-scope product and client engineering project delivery.
● Ability to manage teams in Guadalajara and Tijuana and ability to travel (up to 10%) to these locations.

● Expertise in Scrum / Agile software development for managing product development.
● Expertise on web app fundamentals, as well as web app scalability and security.
● Experience with Test Driven Development best practices.
● Expertise in Rails 3 & 4, Ruby 2.0, MySQL, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, HTML.
● Experience with “NoSQL” document stores an advantage, CouchDB especially.
● Expert GIT & GitHub user, including branching and tagging.
● Experience building and delivering large-scale, transactional saas/scss & paas.
● 10+ years full stack web application and web services experience.
● 5+ years experience in a senior leadership position for commercial software product delivery.
● 5+ years experience building complex web applications in RoR.
● 5+ years experience developing dynamic database-driven web apps from scratch.
● Must be an expert with MySQL architecture with very clean and efficient db queries.
● Experience with Heroku, Rackspace Cloud, Amazon S3, and SES.
● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline. Master’s degree is preferred.
