Job Description and Requirements:
Viacom Media & Technology Services is seeking highly qualified candidates for the position of Director, Search Engine Optimization (SEO). This candidate plays the key role in providing brands with SEO toolsets, SEO Educational Training, comprehensive SEO site analysis, strategic keyword research, and developing internal linking style guides to accelerate search rankings and increase natural search engine traffic based on business and marketing goals.
The SEO Director MTS will work with Viacom Media Networks brands, Viacom corporate, and centralized product, as well as cross functional teams including technology, reporting, and work in collaboration with VP SEO MTS to maintain centralized relationships with Google, Bing, Yahoo, SAAS vendors, SEO Consultants, Anti-Piracy Team, business and legal affairs and Viacom for efficiency.
This individual must be self-driven, passionate and persistent with providing prioritized SEO recommendations to stakeholders who have various understanding of SEO and limited resources while developing case studies to evangelize adoption.

Key Responsibilities:
SEO Toolsets, Training & Reporting
Provide best of breed SEO multiplatform Toolset and Training to all stakeholders. Design actionable reports for various stakeholders. Generate reports and successful adoption with stakeholders as appropriate. Proactively manage toolset roadmap with SAAS partners. Toolsets include: BrightEdge, Moz, Screaming Frog, SEM Rush, Google/Bing Webmaster Tools, and Omniture.
Work with SEO Analyst to integrate Omniture data into designated toolsets.
Oversee monthly SEO reports including, trended referral traffic desktop, tablet and smartphone reports.
Monitor health of sites with automated weekly Omniture referral, video referral, and keyword ranking reports.
SEO Analysis
The Director of SEO is responsible for authoring SEO reports and overseeing the integration of Search Engine Optimization best practices within the VMN portfolio of sites, centralized products and services including; Mobile web, (m. sites), responsive design, app store optimization (ASO), Video, Social, Games, CMS Platforms, Reporting, Site Search and TVE/C3 according to business objectives. This entails working with each brand, and product group, to identify and track cohesive SEO implementation and reporting key performance indicators for each product and feature deployments. Additional responsibilities include:
Verifying all SEO implementation for top tier brands including site migrations and ensuring SEO is integrated into all new product initiatives.
Overseeing all desktop, tablet and mobile Omniture trended search reports, keyword research, keyword ranking, traffic, conversions, competitive research, onsite/offsite competitive total link data, domain authority, and social data
Managing the Technical SEO Lead to monitor and diagnose SEO health of sites by reviewing technical diagnostic reports including, site deployments, migrations, crawl diagnostics, client/server errors, meta data standardization, url issues, solving duplicate content issues, pagination, video and news sitemaps, robots.txt, and monitoring Google/Bing Webmaster Tools.
Working with brands, CMS Team, and enterprise Site Search Team, establish consistent MetaData standards for titles, open graph, twitter cards, schema.org, mRSS feeds and governance.

Required Qualifications / Skills
Optimally 6+ years SEO experience at a broadcast media entertainment company, preferably in-house enterprise SEO or online agency for large scale websites. Candidates must demonstrate achievement of top rankings and increased traffic in/from search engines.
Extensive experience using a variety of SEO Toolsets including Google/Bing Webmaster Tools, BrightEdge, moz, Screaming Frog, SEM Rush, and Omniture.
Solid cross platform SEO experience with desktop, tablet, smartphone, apps, responsive design, site speed, Flash video and HTML5 for all devices and SEO compliance with AJAX Javascipt and/or Java Servlets.
3 Years Adobe Site Catalyst Experience.
4 years social and white hat inbound link experience.
Knowledge of server operations, browser processing, robots.txt & .htaccess files, and Akamai
Knowledge of pay-per-click (PPC) and pay for placement techniques
Expert Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project)

This solution-oriented, proactive position requires excellent written, speaking, and presentation skills across all levels of management, staff, and client groups, strategic partners, and with outside analysts. This includes the ability to collaborate and encourage teamwork and to facilitate communication between people with different levels of expertise and managing up and down.
Must be able to excel in a cross functional team by working cross department, across products, and throughout a network of brands to implement best SEO practices.
