Director - Product Management - SoFi - San Francisco

Job description
SoFi is looking for an experienced Product Manager to spearhead the development of our new mortgage platform. SoFi is undertaking an aggressive, groundbreaking mortgage initiative to reinvent the mortgage industry as it has with student loans.

As Product Manager you are responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including: gathering and prioritizing product requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering, sales, marketing and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The Product Manager’s job also includes ensuring that the product supports the company’s overall strategy and goals.

Responsibilities:
· Work with the mortgage business leadership to define the product strategy and roadmap
· Deliver product requirement definitions with prioritized features and corresponding justification
· Work closely with engineering to articulate the needed functionality, serve as the business SME, and conduct UATs
· Drive integration of mortgage functionality into the existing SoFi enterprise infrastructure, creating a holistic customer experience
· Drive consensus across the organization
· Work with external third parties to assess those technologies
· Be an expert with respect to the competition
· Act as a leader within the company

Desired Skills and Experience
Qualifications:
· Deep experience functioning in a product management capacity
· Minimum of 3 years experience in the mortgage industry
· Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products
· Deep business analyst skills. Consulting experience a major plus.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Technical background a major plus
· Excellent teamwork skills
· Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority!
