Summary:
The Product Director is an exciting and dynamic position which leverages your analytical, project management, & communication skills to produce outstanding results. This position is highly visible within the organization due to the focus on new product development, margin improvement projects, and integration of acquired companies and their product portfolios. The position has excellent advancement potential.


Education and/or Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree Required
3+ years of Product Development experience
Telecommunication industry experience preferred

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: (Other duties may be assigned.)
Birch is looking for a thought leader who is both bold and creative in tackling the responsibilities associated with the Product Development Director position. This role requires a full understanding of the standard product development lifecycle from concept design to product retirement. Additionally, each candidate should have a strong financial analysis background. The ability to create a Business Case (ROI model) based on cost components, product revenue, & gross margins, etc. is a must. The ideal candidate will be able to analyze our product base and look for opportunities to improve revenue or margins. Taking the initiative to explore and present ideas regarding vendor management to lower costs, billing inaccuracies and fixes, price modifications to improve market share or lift overall margins, etc. Candidates should also possess the ability to integrate various product sets from acquired companies into the Birch Communications product portfolio. Travel requirements are very minimal with this position. Promotion & Advancement opportunities are high due to the demonstrated fast pace growth path of the company.
