Responsibilities include developing newsworthy story ideas, writing polling questionnaires and media pitch guides, and creating client deliverables on a tight deadline. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with Fortune 500 brands to develop newsworthy campaigns based on creative surveys. Knowledge of mainstream media and a writing background is a must for this position.



Job Responsibilities
Spearhead survey projects designed to generate media coverage for a variety of different clients and industries
Manage clients and provide excellent client service
Oversee, train and mentor staff
Manage projects and ensure internal and external deadlines are on track and met
Contribute to brainstorming on client projects
Develop and edit client deliverables
This is a position with tremendous growth potential. The Director will receive hands-on training to further his or her professional development in consultancy, market research, marketing, and public relations.

Desired Skills and Experience
5-10 years experience in public relations, marketing, and/or media relations
Staff management experience a must
Client service experience a must
Strong oral and written communication skills
In-depth knowledge of and work with consumer media
Self-motivated
Hardworking and willing to work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent time and project management skills
Familiarity with the news cycle
A sense of humor, an appreciation of puns and a taste for wit
Bachelor’s degree
No research background required
