We are seeking to hire a motivated and talented Director of Marketing for our Soap.com site. The Director of Marketing will report to the Category Leader and be responsible for managing marketing strategy and execution across both customer acquisition and retention/CRM efforts for Quidsi’s Soap.com business, using a broad range of online and targeted offline marketing channels.
Key responsibilities include:
Strategic planning and spending decisions across a range of marketing channels, programs and customer segments
Promotion and messaging planning, collaborating closely with merchandising and site teams
Plan and execute Email Marketing campaigns, including testing and analysis
Plan and implement delivery of targeted offers to grow business
Plan vendor funded marketing programs collaborating with vendor and merchandising teams to acquire new customers and increase retention
Budget management and forecasting including operating planning
Source new partnerships and negotiate contracts
Manage marketing team of 2-4 people
The ideal candidate will possess superior marketing skills coupled with strong consumer focus and instincts about how to build and maintain a meaningful brand. Candidate will have analytical horsepower and be confident making data driven decisions. Candidate will also have experience in managing people. The position requires a relentless passion for results, a commitment to action-oriented analysis, and an attitude that anything is possible. • You will possess at least 5 years of marketing, strategy, or relevant experience
• Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing or related field.
• MBA highly preferred from top-tier institution
• Brand marketing experience targeting moms is a plus
• Experience with direct response media, online marketing, and/or ecommerce marketing strategies preferred
• Strategic thinker with superb math and analytical acumen
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to effectively manage timelines and coordinate internal and external teams to deliver results
• Influence across reporting lines
• Strong creative brief writing and design communication
• Entrepreneurial spirit
