We are currently seeking a Director of Marketing to join our marketing team. The Director of Marketing will be responsible for planning, directing and overseeing an organization's marketing policies, objectives, and initiatives. Performs the following duties personally or through subordinate Managers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Administrative / General:
- Construct and responsibly manage a multi-million dollar budget.
- Chair and coordinate the activities of a Global Marketing Council.
- Work with cross functional departments justify and enable programs and advance objectives

Analyzes markets and competitors:
- Assesses end user markets and channels of distribution, identifying trends and plans to address market trends.
- Determines methods and overseas the collection and analysis of market data.
- Works closely with direct and representative field sales personnel to understand the competitive landscape, distribution requirements and end user needs. Assist in developing growth programs.
- Analyzes the sales and profitability of products, customers and markets.

Develops and implements marketing strategies:
- Actively participates at the top levels of the company to develop marketing strategies.
- Analyzes strategic marketing alternatives, determines best approach and implements same.
- Determines brand and portfolio management strategies with inputs from Product Management, Sales, and executive management.
- Manages pricing strategy and policies, and implementation of pricing within the business system.

Monitors customer satisfaction:
- Designs, implements and interprets results of customer satisfaction surveys.
- Assists in developing actions in response to customer feedback.

Measures and assists in forecasting demand:
- Collects, analyzes and interprets relevant economic and industry data.
- Assists in determining revenue and market share targets.

Develops and delivers marketing communication:
- Manages web site structure and content.
- Reviews and enhances current e-commerce marketing and sales strategies and adjust as need be.
- Assists in the selection and manages the implementation of key technologies including Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools.
- Determines the appropriate selection of social media tools and manages same.
- Manages the selection, development, support and implementation of trade shows as well as channel partner and end-user events.

Provides sales force and channel support:
- Develop new sales and marketing methods to address end users and work closely with distribution customers where required.
- Develop new product launch strategies and corresponding training and education sessions for distribution and end users.
- Oversees the product training department and the stewardship of CMCO University
- Prepares and delivers sales tools.
- Participate in, and coordinate, industry association activities
- Develop and monitor promotional activity and other revenue generating initiatives.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Oversee marketing, pricing administration, product-training and communication departments. Build and develop a strong and effective Marketing organization.


Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university and ten years experience in a strong brand name environment, working closely with industrial distribution and end user customers. Previous experience in industrial e-commerce required. A strong background in marketing intelligence and analytics is a plus.

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Internet software; Manufacturing software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
