Director - Global Compensation - NetApp - San Francisco

Job description
As a senior member of the Global Compensation team, you will be responsible for both the Commission (sales) and Non-Commission (non-sales)compensation for the Go-To-Market (GTM) organization, which includes Field Operations (Sales, SE and PS), Marketing, and CSOPs (Customer Support and Services). The successful candidate will partner closely with the domestic and international HR Business partner communities, line and field management teams and functional executive leaders. In addition to supporting the client group of GTM, this position will also manage corporate program design, development and communication.



Manage a staff of 4 Compensation professionals. One in the U.S., two in the Netherlands and one in Singapore. Mentor and provide guidance to other Global Comp team members.

As a Director, Human Resources Staff you will utilize strong management and relationship building competencies to set objectives and develop strategies for subordinate level employees. This challenging position provides leadership and management oversight to the department. You develop long-term strategies and shorter-term plans to meet aggressive performance goals. You must be extremely results driven, customer focused, technologically savvy, and skilled at building internal relationships and external partnerships.

Desired Skills and Experience
 • 10+ plus years of compensation experience as an individual contributor; a minimum of 8 years as Manager / Director
• Excellent planning and organization skills, attention to detail, ability to handle multiple tasks, and work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment to meet aggressive goals and pre-defined measurement criteria
• Demonstrated project and time management skills
• Strong and proven analytical skills
• Ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization, including remote areas
• Use judgment that is in consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation or government law
• Knowledge of principles and practices of personnel administration
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Must have expert Microsoft Excel knowledge and other programs; HR systems and PowerPoint
• Must possess high levels of both analytical and conceptual thinking
