Job description
POSITION SUMMARY:

The Director, Marketing will develop, recommend, and implement marketing programs and policies that meet organizational objectives and achieve maximum results; continually monitor market dynamics; evaluate marketing program efficacy; manage the collection and analysis of competitive information; and oversee the development and continuous improvement of marketing communication.


ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Monitors industry trends and directs the acquisition and analysis of critical market data and competitive intelligence for plan formulation and continuous improvement.
Helps define AE’s target markets, refine business models, and align product & service strategies with the corporate goals and metrics.
Manage and leverage multiple applications, channels, and technologies to drive customer awareness, customer preference, thought leadership, top-of-mind awareness, and other key programs.
Devleop targeted strategies to maximize customer intimacy with key accounts through account-based marketing programs.
Leverage marketing automation systems to drive lead generation across applications and regions.
Optimize lead-to-sale conversion process to maximize efficient business growth.
Increase brand recognition and preference – especially in growth regions.
Directs marketing communication strategy and implementation and oversees campaign management.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Primary location:  San Jose, CA, USA (preferred) or Fort Collins, CO, USA
Standard office environment
International travel required

EXPERIENCE:

Essential:

Experience creating and implementing proven successful strategies to generate market demand for new offerings, including global campaign execution.
Demonstrated success building strategic branding and marketing campaigns which drive revenue in direct and channel environments.
10 years of sales and/or marketing management experience in high tech BtB markets, including staff & departmental responsibilities.
At least 5 years of marketing management experience in high-tech BtB markets.
Proven track record of superior results delivery and sustainment through process discipline and organization building.

Desired:

Prefer 10 years experience with semiconductor capital equipment, semiconductor OEM components, solar PV inverters, or industrial automation markets.
Experience with semiconductor manufacturing processes.
Experience with solar PV applications and projects.

EDUCATION:

Essential:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science – or equivalent
MBA strongly preferred
