The Role:
The Huffington Post is recruiting for a Director of Financial Planning and Analysis. Responsibilities include budgeting, forecasting, scenario modeling, target setting and long-term business planning. The position will interact with a broad group of individuals across AOL, including key personnel within Accounting, Tax, Legal, etc. This position is based in New York City and will report to the SVP of Financial Planning & Analysis.

Key Areas of Focus:
Provide the analytical frameworks and strategic insights to identify risk and opportunities associated with the financial planning of the Huffington Post, including yearly budgeting and monthly outlooks.
Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models that allows for bottom-up evaluations and detailed forecasting/target setting of the various divisions and support areas for the Huffington Post.
Support special projects/ad-hoc requests as they arise.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or related field required; MBA, CFA, and/or CPA a plus.
5-7 years of related experience in financial modeling and competitive intelligence.
Working Knowledge of Hyperion Planning, HFM, and/or SAP a plus.
Proficiency with MS Office, specifically in Excel and PowerPoint.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to present analysis and findings to peers and executive team.
Must be extremely organized and be able to handle multiple tasks at one time.
Must be able to meet tight deadlines under a fast-paced environment and work overtime, as needed.
Ability to work independently, prioritize workload accordingly.
