Director - Digital Sales - Sony Music Entertainment - New York


Job description
The Director, Digital Sales is responsible for a range of important commercial partners and Sony Music’s release strategy on their devices and platforms. This role will also lead and be accountable for driving revenue, strategic relationships, competitive edge, and continue to cultivate the existing partnership.



Responsibilities:
Responsible for meeting monthly, quarterly and yearly revenue assignments
Work closely with SONY Music labels to create and execute campaigns that drive revenue and brand recognition.
Be the go-to product expert and sales driver on Google's various business platforms - YouTube and Google Play.
Manage day-to-day activities of multiple assets, UGC, and high traffic YouTube Channels.
Manage the flow from selection of content owners, kick-off meetings, insight prep, release strategy and drive release schedule on platform.
Work with marketing teams to maximize YT views and subscribers.
Collaborate and lead various business units in building communities around developing and established repertoire on YT.
Develop and own product release roadmap and ensure that it meets business revenue objectives and content owner goals/needs.
Use YouTube Analytics to provide insight and performance metrics.
Share insight, analysis, and recommendations with accounts to improve our mutual businesses.

Desired Skills and Experience
Qualifications:
Knowledge and 5 year experience in digital marketing and products: YouTube, VEVO (Netflix and HULU a plus).
Streaming Activity Analytics/Reporting/Strategic Analysis experience required.
Experience in subscription service platforms (multiple media types a plus).
This individual must understand mobile behavior and user consumption/buying habits on device.
Strong track record in working in complex cross-functional environments.
Passionate individual that enjoys working in a creative and forwarding thinking media environment.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including being able to articulate specific plans and leading a team to the finish line.
This person needs to have a dynamic personality and excellent presentation skills.
Ability to lead and communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Problem solver and team player.
