Director - Credit Administration and Underwriting - SoFi - San Francisco
Job description
SoFi has an exciting opportunity for a critical role with responsibility for risk management of the organization. This individual will be expected to provide a strong influence on the quality of the portfolio across all product lines as well as identifying and orchestrating risk mitigation efforts. The position reports to the Head of Credit, and will have responsibilities across the credit administration, credit operation, and credit analysis functions.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
· Assist with day to day and long range strategic direction for the credit risk function related to multiple consumer lending product lines
· Provide leadership in the areas of risk management and credit operations functions.
· Assist in the creation, implementation and administration of SoFi’s credit strategies, policies, procedures, reporting, portfolio management, underwriting and credit operations.
· Establish, in conjunction with executive management, risk appetite, underwriting standards and concentration limits.
· Actively evaluate and communicate to leadership on any material considerations affecting the loan portfolio, loan policy and individual loan transactions.
· Work with Compliance on the development, implementation and administration of regulatory and operational risk processes.
Desired Skills and Experience
Education/Experience/Certification:
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
· Minimum of 8 years demonstrated credit/loan portfolio expertise in Consumer Credit.
· Familiarity with Underwriting processes and techniques.
· Minimum 3 years experience in risk management.
· Minimum 3 years experience in a managerial capacity.
· Candidates with broad, deep banking knowledge preferred.
Skills Requirements:
· Seasoned multi-dimensional credit leader with a board skill set in commercial, consumer and securities portfolios
· Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
· High attention to detail, accuracy and quality.
· Ability to work accurately and effectively under deadlines.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to act with a sense of urgency and meet deadlines.
