Job description
Position Overview
Support organic and new business growth by being a key member of the team responsible to sell in external, client-facing professional development initiatives. Assist and assume a leadership role in the design, development and delivery of professional development programs in the area of integrated marketing communication for LBW clients including topics such as: defining your brand, identifying and articulating consumer insights, writing powerful creative briefs and evaluating creative.
Ideally, this person has either line experience as an account manager or planner in a marketing communication / agency or brand management experience at a major marketing company. An extra bonus would be training design/delivery experience.
Structure
This position resides within Leo Burnett Worldwide People & Culture team based in Chicago, IL, USA with travel proportionate to agency and client requirements.
This position will be contract on a project basis over the near term as we build the Carbon business.
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
Design / Develop / Deliver/ Evaluate IMC Training Programs
• Partner with internal and/or external subject matter experts to design, develop and/or deliver learning programs to address the unique needs of the advertising environment
• Create a learning experience that meets clients desired learning objectives.
• Design instructional materials and course content utilizing your own IMC experience as well as subject matter expert input.
• Comfortable and confident leading workshops for all levels of Marketers from Associate Brand Managers to Brand Leadership roles.
Sales and Leadership
• Utilize personal professional networks as a source of business.
• Build an Agency network to open doors to training opportunities.
• Turn leads into specific training opportunities for Carbon to deliver. Including developing Statements of Work and negotiating fee structures.
• Manage client relationships to ensure we meet/exceed expectations and leverage opportunities to continually expand our relationship.
• Work with the Carbon team to set business goals and strategies that will continually grow our fledgling services area.

Education & Experience Required
• Minimum Director Level: 10+ years line experience as a planner and/or account manager in a marketing communications agency or brand management organization.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
• Demonstrated ability to sell work
• Demonstrated experience communicating with multiple levels of management and peers required
Education & Experience Desired (not required)
• Undergraduate or Masters degree in Marketing or Integrated Communications desirable
