Strategy Director - ERP Cloud Center of Excellence - Oracle - Redwood City
Job description
We are looking for a Director in the ERP Cloud Center of Excellence team, responsible for the program management of Oracle Applications ERP SaaS Services business development and operations. As a Director in the product development division, you will lead a team that defines product specifications and or strategy. Gather and analyze information to define product specifications and review design specifications. Envision and communicate product strategy and functionality. Initiate and foster relationships with other groups. Review product documentation and collateral. Ensure successful product releases based on corporate priorities.
This is a dynamic position that continually evolves along with the ERP SaaS business drivers. You will be required to lead multiple areas of the ERP SaaS operations processes. Responsibilities include but are not limited to leading:
Coordination of the ERP SaaS fleet patching and upgrade processes. Working with customers and project leads to ensure all patching and upgrade activities are in line with the customer’s business objectives and time lines.
Coordination with ERP SaaS Support. Including leadership on scheduled SR review meetings, customer escalations, process improvement projects and SR monitoring of key customer engagements.
Coordination of ERP life cycle management initiatives. Works with the ERP family of product development teams to ensure products are properly cloud enabled. You will be coordinating efforts with numerous groups responsible for ensuring new and existing SaaS application services are provisioned properly, meet security standards and meet operational efficiency benchmarks.
Management of ERP SaaS new customer provisioning process. Responsibilities include capacity planning, new environment provisioning, process improvements, communications with internal organizations and external customers.
Representing the ERP product families for all Cloud Fleet Management initiatives. This position requires that you work effectively with numerous organizations within development, operations, strategy, support and consulting. You will be representing all constituents in executive level planning and decision making meetings on a weekly basis.
Lead customer success projects. Including implementation support, project planning, issue escalation and resolution management. Customer success is our number one priority. You will be asked to lead efforts to simplify, improve and drive processes that are focused on driving customer success and satisfaction to industry leading levels.
Desired Skills and Experience
Someone with excellent external customer interfacing and leadership skills. Understand pain points in cloud initiatives. You will have to learn some internal tools for patch management. Documentation of processes or creation of new processes. Lots of SAAS and Cloud. For every SAAS customer they bring on, they have a project lead for the customer. Helping them with implementations, working along side the development Leads, etc.
Basically a listener, a Liaison and a troubleshooter.
Once the sales team is done and they are retain solutions, his team steps in. They won’t be responsible for the handholding. This group is more of a guidance mode and dealing with internal and external customers professionally is a critical skill.
A Consulting background is very helpful
Technical background is a plus, but not required. Functional background on SAAS and Cloud-Escalation and resolution management. Project management. Dealing with executives, operations folks, to deal with customer desires and make that happen.
The candidate must be highly energetic, posse’s excellent verbal and written communications skills and has the ability to skillfully lead several high priority initiatives simultaneously. You must have the ability to work effectively with customers. You must have excellent proven project management skills and experience.
