Job Duties:
The Customer Support division (CSD) of Mentor Graphics is one of the largest contributors of revenue to the company and a critical element for customer success. CSD strives to be a services leader in solving our customers' design problems and eliminating any barriers between our customers and their success. Education Services are viewed as a fundamental component and contributor to growth, customer satisfaction and success.
Mentor Graphics is looking for a dynamic growth oriented Director of Education Services to join our Customer Support leadership team, to lead a 35 person $10+M business into its next phase of growth. The individual is responsible for driving all aspects of Mentor's customer facing training business, including new offering development, sales and marketing activities, the customer experience, financial performance, people management and operations.
This position is based in Wilsonville, OR and will report to the General Manager of Customer Support.
Responsibilities
* Develop the education strategy and training offerings roadmap for Mentor Graphics training products
* Monitor the strategic prioritization of instructional design work while ensuring that new training content is prescriptive and tied to the needs of Mentor customers today and in the future
* Work closely with Products, Marketing, Sales, Services, and Support to effectively launch new offerings
* Work closely with Sales and Marketing teams to ensure attainment of training leads and bookings objectives
* Closely manage staffing levels to maximize productivity and efficient delivery of training offerings
* Set team budgets, goals, objectives and key initiatives
* Own and manage $10M P&L
* Manage reporting and analytics and create actionable insights to meet business goals
* Deliver monthly and quarterly revenue and expense forecasts
* Coach and mentor direct reports. Personally oversee their development and career advancement
* Motivate, empower, and inspire team members to achieve their objectives and move the business forward
Job Qualifications:
* 5-7 years of experience leading an Education Services or team required
* Prior experience managing an Education Services P&L
* Previous experience functioning in a Director of Education Services capacity with accountabilities for Sales or Marketing desired
* Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
* Strong client facing presentation skills
* Exceptional leadership skills
* Demonstrated examples and experience driving high growth, success and profitability
* Capable of strategic thinking and long-term planning
* Experience within a software or technology organization
* Coaching and people development skills
* Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience is required
