Innovation Experience Director
Overall, the role of the Director is to act as the originator of forward leaning, ground-breaking, large-scale, digitally led 360 marketing solutions for AOL's top agency partners and their clients.
We are seeking a hands-on, risk-taking, curious, dynamic, creatively-fueled, big strategic thinker to be responsible for creating showcase experiences which deliver for AOL's consumers and deliver performance and insights for our leading brand partners.
A strategic leadership background across disciplines and channels (traditional/digital) with proven experience and perspective in architecting and executing impactful brand solutions is a must.
The Role:
Partner with Agency Development Team to build large digital-first advertising programs involving a combination of AOL online, offline and third party programming, technology and platform assets.
Pursue new ideas and strategies for connecting brands with consumers in emerging digital environments - mobile, social, local, live – as well as experiential.
Exceptional ability to uncover, apply and translate customer insights into relevant, innovative marketing solutions.
Effectively lead internal and external strategic brainstorm sessions that produce actionable, unique, breakthrough marketing concepts and solutions leveraging the entire AOL portfolio of assets, capabilities and potential partners.
Increase consideration, preference and revenue by approaching leading agencies with dynamic and high performing solutions.
Be versed in AOL's products and platforms while savvy to new and emerging 3rd party products (content, technology, social and format) for future inclusion.
Develop, pitch and oversee execution of advertising programs in partnership with creative/media agency leaders and AOL's internal teams.
Desired Skills and Experience
Requirements:
7+ years in a strategic and/or creative leadership role within a creative agency and/or digital marketing agency creating brand solutions and programs.
Proven ability to originate and execute scalable, award-winning advertising experiences.
Multi-media expertise; demonstrable experience in creating, overseeing and executing video, mobile, social and offline integrated advertising programs.
Superior written/verbal communication skills; must be able to quickly convey idea and create traction at the agency CEO, President, CCO level.
Ability to work within a complex organization and to drive an idea to fruition at complex client/agency organizations.
Inspirational and compelling storyteller.
Candidate must be open to travel
Strong preference for candidates with a deep agency background.
