Director - Foundry Operations - Fairchild Semiconductor - San Francisco

Job description

Join our growing group that operates like a start-up, the ideal candidate will support the implementation and management of foundry systems and operation as we bring more foundries on-line and ramp our volumes working with with contracts, vendor relations, negotiations, technology development and growth.
Develop, implement and sustain operations for new Foundries that are being incorporated into Fairchild's Supply Chain network.
Identify Foundry partners for off-the-shelf technologies, internal-external technology transfers, and for co-development of technologies.
Implement systems (supply chain, manufacturing, tape-out, etc) to bring new foundries on-line Fairchild's supply chain network.
Baseline foundries based on cost, manufacturing metrics, long-term strategic relationship and develop business opportunities with new foundries as needed.
Negotiate MoUs, contracts, capacity, and other commercial aspects with foundries.
Address manufacturing, cycle-time, and quality issues with foundries.
Provide engineering and operations support to product line at TD in interfacing with foundry partners.
Support NPI and product transfer and qualification.
Organization of the workflow for day to day production activities, oversight of pattern design, maintenance activities and quality standards.
P.O. creation and maintaining the relationship with all vendors. Strong knowledge of quality assurance of Foundry Operations, Technical Transfers, and Tech Development.

Desired Skills and Experience
Experience/Qualification
Strong knowledge of quality assurance of foundry operations, technical transfers, and technlogy development.
Individual must have experience with contracts, vendor relations, negotiations, technology development and growth.
Sound decision-making and time-management skills are a must, since there is autonomy in the function.

Education Requirement
Masters in Chemical Engineering or Material Science
