Director - Cardiovascular Services - Marin General Hospital - Greenbrae
Job description
This Director will be responsible for Cardiovascular Services. The Director Cardiovascular Services directs, supervises, coordinates, plans and evaluates unit functions and activities in order to provide cost-effective care of high quality according to the standards set at Marin General Hospital. This Director is also responsible for developing a strategic plan to achieve an integrated service line for Clinical Cardiology, Vascular Medicine and Surgery, Invasive/Interventional Cardiology, Electrophysiology Services and Stroke Program. Consults with and advises the Vice President of Nursing appropriate Medical Directors and the Chief Administrative Officer; implements changes in policy, programs and physical resources required to achieve hospital objectives and ensuring that effective professional clinical care within the above areas and compliance with regulatory agencies and established Hospital standards, practices and procedures. Ensures that professional staff is able to provide direct and indirect patient care and clinical services to the patient population of said services, and that the number of staff is sufficient to accomplish these goals. The Director will report to both the Vice President of Nursing and Chief Administrative Officer.
Desired Skills and Experience
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required
Master's Degreen in Nursing Administration or related health care field strongly preferred
Experience
5 - 7 years of progressively responsible management experience in clinical nursing, including progressively responsible supervisory management, budget preparation and management, small and large group presentation, and change management.
Additional experience in capital equipment acquisition process and renovation and expansion of departmental facilities desirable.
Demonstrated ability in basic compute skills using word processing, databases and spreadsheets desirable
Demonstrated problem solving skills
Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and communicate a team aproach to patient care adb promoting team success
License Requirements
Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California
Basic Life Support Provider
Advanced Cardiac Life Support
