GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Designs, implements and directs the operations of the Tech Managers and Business Systems Analysis team. Understands levers available to fine tune shopping, availability and other data sent to the OTA customer. Proactively engages with external OTA customers to provide efficiency improvements; lead development of OTA metrics and benchmarks by region. Consults internally and externally on improved OTA customer conversion rates on Sabre. Serves as a liaison between the Business/Marketing and Application Development teams to ensure that development initiatives meet business objectives. The initial point of contact for the teams requesting modifications or new features to existing systems and will provide guidance in developing functionality that matches current system features. Reviews action plans and project deliverables from Technical analysts. Provides guidance on project tasks and activities to analysts. Coordinate activities in the deployment and implementation of a product knowledge base. Provides subject matter expertise on a consulting basis on multiple projects. Responsible for objective setting for team members, hiring and coaching members of the team and supporting them on their projects. Responsible for working with other teams within the company to improve efficiencies of OTA software development process and introduce improvements that will reduce the development lifecycle.
Desired Skills and Experience
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree or equivalent, Master's degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum 10 years related experience; minimum 5 years prior management/supervisory experience preferred. Advanced computer software skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to lead and direct multiple projects simultaneously; ability to delegate work to subordinate employees; proven leadership ability.
