Director - Global Generic Upstream Marketing - Hospira - Lake Forest
Job description
As a member of the Global Generic Marketing organization, this position will help drive profitable growth in the small molecule generic business.
Principal responsibilities of this position include:
Develop and implement a clear strategy for future generic pharmaceutical product opportunities.
Coordinate and conduct market research as needed.
Perform global market assessments and generate forecasts.
Develop marketing plans that are consistent with the corporation’s goals and meet the growth targets of the business.
Serve as the commercial lead on R&D programs.
Define product requirements.
Effectively function in a matrix team environment.
Commercially support first global launches and transition program responsibilities to the appropriate regional marketing counterpart at an appropriate time.
Lead ongoing regional interface meetings to ensure the interests of the tactical sales and marketing organizations are represented in the appropriate corporate initiatives.
Resolve cross-regional conflict to ensure the best interests of the global pharmaceutical business. Compile global P&Ls for pipeline product opportunities using regional input.
Monitor the market, competitors, and trends in the global generic injectable space.
Desired Skills and Experience
Marketing or other related business degree. MBA is preferred.
Good communication, interpersonal and leadership skills required. Candidate should have prior experience in general business, marketing, sales, business development, portfolio management, program management, finance, market research, and/or contract marketing.
