The Director of Western Distribution and Warehouse Operations will be responsible for providing direction and leadership for tactical as well as long term, strategic Distribution and Warehouse activities. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILIITIES

Other duties, assignments and specific projects may be assigned at the discretion of executive management.

Oversee multi-site, multi-temperature, multi-shift warehouse operation totaling 600K square feet of raw materials and finished goods. Annualized volumes of over 5M shipments, three direct reports and up to three hundred indirect reports during peak season.
Responsible for developing and managing P/L and capital plans
Accountable for strategic and tactical planning within areas of responsibility
Develop a “world-class” operation’s team through process/system change and personnel development
Maintain raw material and finished good inventory accuracy levels of 99.9%
Management of daily departmental metrics, accomplishments, and identify and resolve potential problems.
Responsible for the scheduling, training, and performance of all personnel.
Track productivity data and implement programs for improvement.
Produce performance reports and executive summary reports weekly.
Conduct scheduled safety meetings with managers and associates on a monthly basis
Must be a strong collaborator and team player to be successful in role.
Must be able to operate in an efficient/cost conscious manner so that all budgeted objectives are achieved.
Maintain a clean and organized facility that is “tour ready" at all times.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement within Distribution and Warehousing by retaining, and developing world-class diverse talent.
Other duties as assigned.

Desired Skills and Experience
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's Degree in Business or a business related field is required; 10+ years of Distribution and Warehousing experience
Experience managing at least 300 non-exempt associates reporting indirectly to this position.
Strong proficiency in utilizing WMS and LMS programs.
Experience with developing key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive operations and financial objectives.
Strong tactical management experience.
