Director - Global Talent Acquisition - KCI - LifeCell - San Antonio


Job description
The Director, Global Talent Acquisition provides strategic and operational leadership to the talent acquisition team by providing high levels of service in recruitment, selection and hiring for positions in any KCI division or department, as required. The Director uses best practices to manage full life-cycle recruitment for positions from senior-level exempt staff to non-exempt staff, and who represents KCI with professionalism and credibility to candidates, vendors and other external parties.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Developing global HR initiatives that enhance the organization’s ability to attract and retain the best talent.
Leading and managing direct reports, ensuring clear goals and accountabilities are established and achieved. Ensuring individuals’ performance and development needs are met and employees are high performing and engaged. Produce systematic performance indicator reporting to inform management as to progress, roadblocks, and other relevant performance details.
Managing full lifecycle recruitment for multiple positions simultaneously, as assigned, for professional, management-level positions as well as non-exempt positions.
Managing relationships with hiring managers, determining and implementing recruitment strategies, facilitates the recruitment and selection process, extending and negotiating offers according to organizational guidelines; maintaining open requisitions and all pertinent applicant and interview data to comply with OFCCP/AA guidelines on a timely basis.
Managing a process that includes creative and cost-effective candidate sourcing; behavioral interviewing; interview scheduling, video-conferencing and web interviewing; engaging candidates and communicating in a timely fashion; conducting references; and closing offers; maintaining recruitment status reports and metrics.
Building and maintaining pipelines and networks of applicants in various functions, paying special attention to building a pipeline of diverse candidates.
Coaching managers and staff in the areas of recruitment and promotion, according to KCI policies and procedures;
Managing yearly recruitment-related contracts and budgets; suggesting enhancements to services that leverage exposure and engagement while controlling costs.
Maintaining consistency of employment branding in recruitment advertisements. Monitoring recruitment expenses and consults with managers on strategies to improve results while reducing expenditures.
Analyzing and reports on recruiting metrics.
Supporting various HR-related projects on an ad hoc basis, as required. Projects might include researching, developing and implementing social media recruitment strategies, new technologies to support recruitment or various selection assessment tools.
Desired Skills and Experience
Education/Experience:
BA or BS degree plus a minimum of 10 years of relevant and progressively increased responsible experience in corporate recruiting that includes high-volume full life-cycle recruitment experience within a corporate HR environment.
Familiarity with Taleo or similar; posting through job aggregators; and social media recruiting is required. Familiarity with Linked-In Recruiter is a plus.
Specific experience in global workforce planning and development is required.
Demonstrated recruiting experience and ability to creatively source candidates for challenging profiles.
Knowledge of the latest global practices in sourcing and staff selection.
Previous success in recruitment for international professionals and international teams.
Previous overseas and/or multi-site HR experience strongly preferred.
