Senior Director - Strategic Analysis and Planning - Fidelity Investments - Boston

Description

The Strategy and Planning Office is a small group that supports key cross-Fidelity management processes – Strategy & Planning, Investment Planning, Business Performance, Scorecards, and Competitive Analysis. The Director will report to the Vice President, Strategic Analysis and Planning. The Director will be responsible for supporting the planning process, and providing strategic analysis and insights to senior management.

Primary Responsibilities
· Play a key role in the project management and continued development of the Fidelity’s strategic planning process
· Develop strategic insights for senior management through business analysis
· Create compelling, executive-level presentations that communicate strategic insights in a clear, structured manner
· Work closely with businesses across Fidelity to support the strategic planning process and develop perspectives on key strategic questions
· Contribute to the development of common strategic planning tools across Fidelity (e.g., scenario planning)
· Manage and coach analysts on specific workstreams

Desired Skills and Experience

Education and Experience
· Proven track record in analytically oriented and project management roles
· Several years of consulting experience with an established consulting firm or corporate strategy group preferred; other relevant experience would include product development, marketing strategy, and business case development
· Previous work experience in financial services preferred
Skills and Knowledge
· Strong analytical, business partnership and influencing skills
· Proven ability and flexibility to manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines
· Ability to work at different levels of detail and concisely summarize complex issues
· Excellent knowledge of Excel and Powerpoint
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
