Senior Director - Human Resources - GetInsured.com - Palo Alto


Job description
Getinsured is looking for a Senior Director of Human Resources to assist the company in its rapid growth. The successful candidate will be able to work in a fast paced dynamic environment, be able to work across a broad and diverse organization located in different states, be able to think on the fly and will have demonstrated a thorough understanding of HR management and proven leadership. The Senior Director of HR will report directly to the CFO.
As the head of HR at Getinsured, you will lead and manage the overall provision of human resources services, policies, and programs for the entire company, including, but are not limited to performance management, training, organizational development, policy development and documentation, employee relations and communications, employee development, and employment regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities:
Recommend improvements, implement and monitor the organization’s human resource policies, procedures and practices.
Execute and insure compliance of benefits programs and personnel policies and procedures.
Collect and maintain HR metrics and monitor trends supporting the overall health of the organization in achieving its business and HR goals.
Design, develop, review and administer wage, salary, incentive compensation and company benefit programs.
Develop and manage a human resources information system that supports personnel information/documentation needs.
Work closely with recruiting to insure smooth on-boarding, orientation, and training processes.
Lead organization in career development, staffing initiatives, employee relations, workplace ethics and performance management.
Manage employee review and promotion processes.
Design and organize ongoing employee and manager training programs.
Institute regular process to train/coach managers in proper implementation of HR policies and procedures.
Act as a bridge between executive management and employees in order to facilitate smooth functioning of the operations of the company.
Conducting exit interviews during employee terminations and resignations.
Maintain working knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation to insure company compliance.

Skills and Experience
Requirements:
10-15 years of experience gained through increasingly responsible management and leadership positions in human resources
Well developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to get along well with diverse personalities and in a fast paced changing environment
Strong attention to detail, process development and organizational management
Highly organized in work and thinking
Motivated team player with flexible, can-do attitude
Creative problem solver with keen intellect
SHRM Certified Senior Professional (SPHR) a plus
Keeps abreast of current trends and practices in field of expertise as well as in social networking
