AVP, Human Resources – Business Process Services

Cognizant seeks an experienced Human Resources executive to be the strategic business partner to senior BPS leadership to help drive the business forward. This leader will ensure that all people process functions (Global Workforce Management, Talent Acquisition, Cognizant Academy, Talent Management & Immigration) work together so that the BPS BU can achieve its business objectives. This executive will also provide a central holistic view of all people initiatives and act as the single point-of-contact to the BPS BU leader for all people issues.

The AVP, Human Resources can be based anywhere in the North America and will be required to travel as needed to serve the business.

Responsibilities:

Lead the human resources functions and provide holistic view for enabling decision making on all people related issues, including:
Forecasting Capability Requirements
Recruitment
Onboarding/Assimilation
Learning Interventions
Managerial Development
Succession Planning
Leadership Development
Employee Relations
Welfare & Motivation
Workforce integration
Provide BU leadership teams with data and analytics to effectively manage the BPS workforce.
Ensure alignment between organizational & business objectives.
Effectively drive people goals & maintain the small company culture.
Inspire and lead team of 5-7 direct reports.

Desired Skills and Experience
Basic Qualifications:
15+ years of human resources experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related field.
Additional preferred qualifications include:
MBA from a well-respected university
Experience leading human resources function for large, multi-national information technology or IT Outsourcing organization.
Specific Business Process Services (BPS) or Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) domain knowledge is strongly preferred.
Ability to operate and deliver independently without significant oversight
Excellent verbal & written communication skills
Excellent presentation skills
