Position Summary
Director of Data Platform & Business Intelligence organization at Lytx will be responsible for the development and implementation of data platform architecture, data modeling and decision support systems across the company. This individual will manage BI Engineers, Architects and Technical Analysts to understand business requirements and architect optimal data storage and retrieval solutions to growing a leading edge data platform including Enterprise Data Warehousing and in the Big Data technology (Massively Parallel Processing DB’s, Hadoop, Columnar and NoSQL DB’s…) He / She will understand complex data requirements based on analysis of current systems and its operations and enhance the existing data model to accommodate new data requirements. He / She will work cross-functionally with Software and Device Engineering, Product Management, System Engineering and Business stakeholders, teams to lead BI and Data related development within an agile (scrum) environment. The right candidate will have experience in managing Data Architecture and DW Operations and be intimately familiar with software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies. This position requires excellent communication skills and presentation skills along with the ability to influence & lead solutions.

Responsibilities
Lead development of Data Platform and BI Technology at Lytx
Hire, coach and mentor the Data Architecture & Design team
Develop and manage Data design standards & best practices
Manage Data governance by bringing together stakeholders
Champion and drive architecture solutions from conception to implementation
Deliver integrated data platform & architect solutions with Engineering, Operations & Architecture teams
Assist in the definition of KPI and communicate key metrics

Desired Skills and Experience
10+ years professional experience with large-scale data warehouses
5+ years in a managerial role
Must have experience leading and developing a high performance team of engineers, architects and analysts
Experience with enterprise data reporting tools/business intelligence tools
Experience with enterprise integration platforms
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Work with competing priorities and manage multiple tasks
Expert understanding of Relational databases and data warehousing concepts
Experience implementing data platform including MPP db (Greenplum, Netezza, Teradata…) and Hadoop
Deep understanding of data warehousing operations and process control
Excellent inter-personal communication and writing skills
Possesses a sense of urgency with ability to stay focused on goals and objectives
