Global Factory Sales Manager - ABB - Lewisburg


Job description
The Global Factory Sales Manager will primarily be responsible for working directly with all Local Business Units (LBUs) and managing Technical Sales Support (TSS) representatives to ensure the factory meets or exceeds its orders budget for Process Gas Chromatographs, Multiwave Photometers, pH and Conductivity probes and transmitters, Physical Property Analyzers and Analyzer Network hardware and software products for the HPI, Chemical and Specialty Chemical markets.
Main Accountabilities/Typical Duties:
• Ensure that the sales pipeline remains full with qualified leads and prospects as well as large projects that are clearly defined and communicated to senior management.
• Coordinate with the Global BU Sales Manager for Measurement Products.
• Develop an annual growth plan for unit volume sales and gross margins to be approved by senior level management and then work directly with the LBUs to execute to target every year.
• Coordinate the sales quotation and product configuration team as well as the global TSS team to achieve near, middle and long term project goals in the evaluation and improvement of inside and outside sales including sales administration processes.
• Conduct monthly meetings with global LBUs to understand local market conditions, collect and pursue sales prospects and create strategies for winning orders.
• Report to senior management on sales metrics, opportunities, threats and contingency plans.
• Ensure that accurate and complete information is being captured within the Customer Complaint Resolution Process (CCRP) and Net Promoter Score (NPS) systems to continually improve upon overall customer satisfaction.
• Oversee the operation and continual improvement of commercial IS systems supporting the spare parts and analyzer sales as well as product configuration.

Desired Skills and Experience
Basic Requirements
• B.S. in a business discipline (M.B.A. and additional B.S in technical discipline is ideal) and 8-12 years of related experience.
• Must have proven experience with specific accomplishments in growing sales through the implementation of team oriented strategy.
• Must have proven experience with specific accomplishments in improving customer satisfaction and business relationships.
• Must have proven experience with specific accomplishments in developing and implementing selling strategies with clear performance metrics and effectively reporting the results to senior level management.
Preferred Requirements
• Must have the ability to quickly understand our markets, customers and competitors.
• Must have the ability to become an indispensable member of the customers’ team and be their trusted advisor.
• Domestic and global travel of about 40 to 50 percent of the time.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are required
• Computer savvy and proficient with MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Exceptional proven presentation skills
