Technorati’s Director, Strategic Business Development will own and oversee the development and growth of Technorati’s publisher and demand relationships. Your primary responsibilities will be to manage day to day operations and strategy for two talented teams that 1) recruit and retain publishers with premium inventory and 2) source and grow demand relationships to monetize that supply.
You and your teams will be our customers’ greatest internal advocates and help shape our product and operations direction with their needs in mind. You will be metrics driven and streamline internal efforts to better recruit, retain and grow our publisher and demand partnerships. You will use your talent for strategic thinking to evolve best practices in how we interact with our clients and our internal teams to ultimately grow our value and our revenue.
Responsibilities:
Delivering at or above the revenue and profit goals associated with supply and demand matching
Managing the Publisher and Demand Development Teams
Overseeing strategy, development, and execution of relationships with Agency Holding Companies, Agency Trading Desks, DSPs, and other network demand partners
Likewise overseeing strategy, recruitment and growth of supply partners/publishers for representation by Technorati
Partnering with exchange demand resources to increase spend on Technorati
Negotiating, up selling, optimizing and servicing partners
Helping your team and the company develop cross functional relationships within partner organizations
Work with internal teams to identify new partnerships that enhance our offerings (supply and demand)
Evaluate and explore and recommend new strategic opportunities

Desired Qualifications:
4+ years of online advertising experience (network, technology, platform, data, or exchange, etc.)
2+ years in Operations/sales/BD experience in a management capacity required
At least 1 year of RTB/programmatic, display, mobile and/or video experience.
Analytics and performance measurement skills: activity tracking, pipeline management, and forecasting
Expertise and strong interpersonal skills with growing existing and cultivating new relationships.
Experience penetrating and navigating media agencies and preferably agency trading desks
Must understand and be able to articulate the needs of our partners (DSP, ATD) as well as their operating agencies and brands
Extensive knowledge of online business models and Internet/consumer technology
Ability to meet multiple objectives in an entrepreneurial environment with a ton of self motivation
Extensive negotiation experience, including comfort with legal aspects of negotiations in Account Management & Business Development
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
