Director - Sales Finance - Hulu - Los Angeles

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Director of Ad Sales Finance will report directly to the CFO and supports the SVP, Advertising Sales and Operations. This individual will manage a team of people in the Sales Finance, Inventory Planning & Pricing, and Advertising Revenue and A/R Departments. We are looking for an individual who is pro-active, self directed, and someone who possesses an atypically high quality bar for themselves and their work product. Exceptionally strong analytic and finance skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, and attention to detail are a must. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of finance work experience with experience in digital media and ad sales. Specific areas of responsibility will include:
Sales Finance
Responsible for providing financial analysis, inventory and reporting support to the Sales and Finance Departments. Specific responsibilities will include:
Lead all budgeting, quarterly updates, forecasting, and projections for advertising revenue and expenses
Partner with sales and ad ops teams and work collaboratively with other internal finance and accounting teams
Monitor all ad sales KPIs, and flag and resolve issues on a real-time basis
Ensure accuracy of all reporting and analysis and provide in a timely basis
Manage the Sales Incentive Compensation Program
Lead the quarterly Ad Sales Update Presentation to the CEO
Lead and manage various ad hoc analyses and projects as required
Inventory Planning and Pricing
Responsible for providing inventory, deal planning, and pricing support to the Sales Team. Specific responsibilities will include:
Analyze market data and company objectives to develop and execute pricing strategies to maximize the value of Hulu’s inventory, including the upfront pricing strategy
Set and enforce pricing guidelines & policies
Advertising Revenue Accounting & A/R
Responsible for advertising revenue accounting, impressions auditing, billing, and collections.
Desired Skills and Experience
8+ years of work experience in finance
Experience in digital media ad sales finance
Exceptional analytical abilities and strong MS Excel and PowerPoint skills
Strong work ethic and management skills
Solid understanding of financial statements and GAAP and basic accounting understanding
Ability to work quickly and efficiently while executing with atypically high standards of quality
Ability to multi-task and shift priorities in a fast pace environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization
A proactive, self-directed approach and the ability to learn quickly
Education:
Bachelors Degree in finance or accounting
MBA at a leading Business School preferred but not required
