Sony Network Entertainment International (SNEI) drives the vision for network services across Sony to deliver compelling entertainment experiences across a variety of network-enabled devices. Through Sony Entertainment Network, people around the world can access their favorite games, music, videos and photos on our services, including PlayStation® Network, Video Unlimited, Music Unlimited and PlayMemories Online, as well as a large portfolio of third-party media services.

The Director of Product Public Relations is responsible for leading the strategy and execution for PR and social media programs across the Sony Entertainment Network (SEN) platform and its digital services, including PlayStation® Store, Music Unlimited, Video Unlimited and PlayMemories Online. This position will also oversee PR for SNEI’s new cloud-based TV service.

The Director of Product Public Relations will report to the Senior Director of Corporate Communications and work closely with other Sony divisions and cross-functional teams to garner visibility for SNE’s growing service portfolio and the entertainment it delivers to millions of people worldwide. Specific areas of responsibility:

• Platform and message development
• Thought leadership programs for SNEI executive staff
• Joint communications programs with other Sony divisions to demonstrate unique “One Sony” features and benefits
• Quarterly PR and Social media plan development
• Industry and Sony event support
• Media relations and spokesperson

Desired Skills and Experience
Minimum 10 years of experience in a product public relations or corporate communications function, preferably with digital entertainment and services. Candidate must be an excellent communicator across a range of mediums and have proven experience in generating successful consumer communications programs. Candidate must also possess strong leadership skills in communicating with senior executives and leading internal teams, external agencies and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

A BA/BS Degree is required, preferably in journalism, public relations or communications.
