Director - Digital Marketing - Canon Business Process Services - New York


Job description
This position will direct as well as execute development and management of digital innovation, using emerging technology to support the CBPS positioning and revenue growth. He or she will set strategy for web, social, mobile and digital content, determine the initiatives and metrics to realize the strategy, create and execute the digital initiatives, and measure and optimize their effectiveness. This individual will capably operate on both a strategic and tactical level, and be informed in areas including strategic digital partnerships, systems recommendations, optimization, video production, creative and content testing, and analytics. The ideal candidate is well versed in technologies such as Wordpress and IBM Content Manager, social media platforms such as Hootsuite, and analytics tools including Radian and Google Analytics.
Concept, develop and manage an innovative and results-focused digital and social architecture using responsive design, mobile devices and other technology and applications appropriate for our business
Develop the content marketing strategy, and proficiently plan, create, syndicate and manage a range of knowledgeable and engaging new digital content ranging from thought leadership to video, podcasts and apps, and the company blog
Deliver original digital marketing ideas that yield efficient ROI across channels such as paid social, content syndication, video, apps, rich media, display, forum and community development, blogs, mobile/tablet, search marketing, and PR
Develop an integrated digital marketing plan covering all aspects of web, social, mobile and digital content to support our business objectives
Establish sound metrics for content usage and social engagement; ddevelop and institute a methodology to consistently track and report performance of all digital and tie it to business results
Recommend budget allocations to drive digital marketing priorities
Coordinate technology production and build-out of new technology capabilities
Conduct quarterly business reviews (QBR) with the CMO, using consistent dashboards

Additionally, the Director will:
Identify and engage digital partner relationships and opportunities that will support the social and digital strategy; lead the end to end partner development process, i.e. evaluate, negotiate contracts, support
As digital subject matter expert, keep current on digital market trends and technologies, customer needs, partner landscape, innovations affecting our industry, and recommend applications
Build and lead a small digital team, and oversee all group outputs for quality, accuracy and timeliness
Manage vendors, technology, budgets and processes
Capably direct agencies to correctly, consistently implement the brand identity
Ensure compliance with legal and data usage/privacy
Gather and analyze data from a variety of sources to make intelligent, informed recommendations and decisions on digital marketing plans and investment
Work closely with the full marketing team to align on offers, and develop and execute integrated plans across all program areas that deliver on business goals
Establish guidelines and processes for content creation by other areas of the business

Desired Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA preferred in business, marketing or a related field.
7+ years leading a digital marketing team, preferably for a technology or business services company
12-15+years of hands-on experience in digital with at least 3 to 5 years focused on social media planning, execution and optimization; an active participant in the social media space
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in planning, creating and optimizing digital content across multiple platforms with proper reach and significant effectiveness
A proficient developer of thought leadership content and innovative video, apps and rich media
Deep knowledge of social, digital and mobile media best practices as well as experience creating and developing digital marketing best practices within an organization
Knowledge of and proficient in using analytics software such as Radian, Google Analytics, social media management tools like Hootsuite, Wordpress, the Facebook algorithmc.
Analytical mindset, with a passion for user experience and a relentless drive for performance
Able to operate on both a strategic and tactical level, informed on areas including strategic digital partnerships, optimization, systems recommendations, creative and content testing, and analytics
Solid working knowledge of web, mobile and adaptive web technologies and applications
Deep understanding of search engine marketing (SEM) and SEO strategies such as link building
Proven experience in integrating social-media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Google, YouTube and LinkedIn
Knowledge of implementing tags, URLs, trafficking digital banners
Experience integrating and optimizing programs with other marketing/advertising channels
Excellent time, budget management and project management skills
Strong written communication and speaking skills with the ability to present to various levels
Ability to manage and mentor a smaller, growing team.
