Who You Are:
Asthe Web Analytics Manager you are responsible for monitoring and analyzing web analytics and customer data to develop a deep enterprise wide understanding of customer behavior and genuinely actionable recommendations. You are responsible for communicating findings and recommendations to a wide variety of people and providing significant input into decisions that shape customer experience, optimization plans, site design and product development.
Your Next Challenge:
Analyzes data from multiple sources (e.g. web analytics tools (Adobe Site Catalyst/Discover), A/B/N & MV tests, primary user research, survey data, VOC tools, business intelligence tools) to develop insights and recommendations for improving our site performance and business KPIs.
Creates and updates monthly and adhoc reporting tools, including reports and dashboards, to share customer behavior information and project progress with project stakeholders
Partners with stakeholders in company to understand key business goals and assists in the identification of insights required to improve our customer’s experience and to monitor business performance, including key customer and prospective segments.
Creates clear presentations which highlight the impact of the customer experience on business KPIs . Develops and use new ways of presenting information to management which is easier and faster to comprehend.
Ensures that site measurement tools are consistently and accurately implemented, monitored, and measured to enable the gathering of data required to make tactical and strategic decision making.
Finds innovative ways to search for meaningful patterns, trends, and relationships amongst large amounts of data and to identify the key metrics, analyses and reporting processes that lead to genuinely actionable findings.
Provides access to analytics tools and provide training and documentation on web analytics tools to internal stakeholders and keeps up to date with new tool functionality, web analytics technologies and techniques.
What You’ll Need:
B.A. in statistics, research or similar; Masters degree preferred (strongly preferred for Senior Web Analytics Manager and Manager, Web Analytics levels)
Web Analytics training certification preferred (strongly preferred for Senior Web Analytics Manager and Manager, Web Analytics levels)
5 - 7 years working in a customer/business intelligence capacity; minimum of 2-4 years relevant experience working with directly with developers to implement website features and design changes
Web analytics tool experience required (Adobe Site Catalyst and Discover experience strongly preferred) including experience implementing web analytics tools on an e-commerce website and experience identifying, diagnosing, and resolving web analytics implementation and reporting problems.
Solid data mining, data analysis and modeling skills, solid understanding of statistics related to hypothesis testing – in particular sample size evaluation and confidence in results.
Ability to size financial impact of customer pain points, lost opportunities and proposed site changes.
Ability to look for solutions and information in creative ways and convey complicated results and insights to people of varying analytical backgrounds; intensely curious with an intrinsic love for data mining and discovery.
Demonstrated ability to identify suspect data and a demonstrated ability to figure out how to make the best out of incomplete or troublesome data sets
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple complex projects with varying degrees of complexity with financial implication
Strong written and spoken communication skills
Experience with primary research or competitive intelligence preferred
Familiarity using Agile Methodologies and working within the RACI/DACI framework preferred.
