Position Description: The Vice President of Product Management is responsible for defining, championing and executing product strategy and roadmap, including ownership of articulating and substantiating decisions regarding new product development, prioritization of product development activities of the existing product lines and investment priorities to make build/partner/buy decisions about complementary technologies. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Products, this executive will also lead traditional core in-bound product management functions that include collecting customer requirements, defining product roadmap and orchestrating the day-to-day activities of geographically dispersed Product Managers and Development teams to deliver breakthrough product solutions for our core growth markets.
Responsibilities
Product Strategy and Planning
Collaborate with leadership and product teams to lead product transformation to the next generation of intelligent, integrated communications platform & services
Engage ecosystem stakeholders to align on clear, actionable product strategy and priorities to deliver optimal results for customers and our business.
Drive and facilitate the product strategy and planning process across the ecosystem to provide focus and alignment on critical strategies to delight our customers.
Build momentum and partnerships with the leading health systems and IDNs to engage their CIOs, CMIOs, and CMOs to build a customer advisory board that engages and guides a product roadmap and vision which is aligned with the trends of the industry.
Evangelize the product vision that delivers intuitive, context driven intelligence and achieves a high bar for customer experience and delighting the customers by making technology invisible. This leader will be a principal stakeholder in such a product line transformation.
Product Roadmap and Execution
Drive definition of the product roadmap to deliver the development of a next generation of light weight wearable hands-free devices and a collaboration suite of smartphone applications that deliver intuitive, context aware solutions that ultimately delight our customers
Lead decision-making process regarding product development roadmap, positioning, pricing, promotions, and operations and sales enablement.
Manage the entire product portfolio and individual life cycles with a cross functional team engagement and through meticulous rigor and discipline that helps the organization provide focus and prioritize investments that ultimately drive revenue and profit goals.
Deliver awesome experiences that delight users with beautiful designs and dead simple solutions to their most important problems.
Product Vision and Thought Leadership
Lead efforts to build thought leadership in the healthcare industry around intelligent, secure communications that integrate with clinical workflows and deliver outcomes that improve patient safety, patient satisfaction, operational cost savings, employee satisfaction and engagement.
Identify, rationalize and structure development partnerships with other ISVs and healthcare IT vendors for Electronic Health Records, Clinical Decision Support Systems, and other clinical IT systems
Actively evangelize our technology vision in the context of the broader technology trends and regulatory environment on key social media such as Twitter, LinkedIn, EHRInsights & HealthcareIT blogs, etc.
Team Leadership and Talent Management
Cultivate an agile and results-driven culture in which innovation and excellence are expected and customer experiences that are easy, fast and delightful is the standard.
Provide leadership, motivation and hands-on direction to product management, design and development teams in service to delivering awesome customer experiences.
Recruit and mentor a world-class product management organization and team; provide coaching and development opportunities for team members to advance their careers
Motivate the team through proactive performance management, clear accountability and on-going measurement against goals

Desired Skills and Experience
Requirements
BSCS or BSEE or equivalent with an MBA preferred and 15-plus years of experience with a minimum of 10 yrs in leadership roles in technology Product Strategy and Management
Highly technical, with a demonstrated understanding of the economics and dynamics of software industry and SaaS. Able to communicate with and inspire engineers on technical topics. Past development experience a plus.
A seasoned business leader, and a visionary with proven track record of delivering successful products in the SaaS/IaaS/PaaS space as well as traditional license based software.
A recognized thought leader in the field whose opinion is sought out internally and by peers, analysts and others in the market
Evangelist of the importance of strong product culture that is founded on understanding the core underpinnings of what makes our products successful and translating that to product strategy for delivering to that promise.
Track record of delivering products that delight end users through a combination of clever technology mixed with attention to user interface design and experience
Verifiable success in managing global teams and developing strong relationships with internal stakeholders, customers and partners
Experience with Agile development methodologies and familiarity with task management tools generally used for Agile PLM
Past experience in HCIT and knowledge of hospital workflows and clinical systems will be a plus
